Born in Gyumri, Armenia, Haroutiun Hakobyan is a versatile artist with a thriving international career. He studies at the Panos Terlemezian Yerevan State College of Fine Arts and the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Art and is renowned for his captivating and thought-provoking paintings. Hakobyan experiments with various techniques and styles in his artistic practice, often blending elements from disparate fields to create dramatic and dynamic works of art. His pieces typically explore themes of mythology, nature, and religion, and he leaves interpretation open to the viewer, encouraging reflection on the subjects he portrays. Hakobyan uses a variety of materials, including oil paints, acrylic, pastel, and watercolour, to achieve the desired texture in his works. He has been the art editor of the children’s magazine, Tsitsernak, and has exhibited his works in different cities worldwide, such as New York, Paris, Moscow, and Beirut.
