Born in Romania and now living in London, Ioana Băltan grew up with stories that blurred the real and the mythical. Her large-scale paintings and digital works are populated by futuristic female forms: hybrid beings drawn from folklore, cyberpunk and deep dream logic. Her “urban goddesses” challenge traditional notions of strength, softness, and the body. By blending ancient mythology with modern visions, she creates new worlds where femininity is wild, liberated, and unapologetically powerful.
