Biography
Born in Algiers in 1998, Lokher initially honed his craft at the High School of Fine Arts in his hometown, specialising in pictorial expression. Transitioning to an internationally-focused visual artist, Lokher’s work challenges conventional boundaries with its multifaceted nature.
Medium holds little significance for Lokher; what matters is the ability of his artwork to transport the viewer into an absurd and mesmerising realm. Operating beyond apparent logic, Lokher’s approach delves into the depths of the mind, exploring concepts that are both universal and elusive.
His distinctive pieces have graced prestigious exhibitions, such as the 2023 showcase at the Inloco gallery in Dubai, followed by a presentation in Marrakech in 2024 as part of an exhibition organised by the BCK gallery in collaboration with African creatives. Through his enigmatic creations, Lokher disrupts our established frameworks and beckons on an inner odyssey to the fringes of the unknown.
