Biography
Mako Lomadze, a contemporary artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia, holds both bachelor’s (2009-2014) and master’s (2014-2017) degrees in fine arts from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. Regularly participating in local and international exhibitions and residencies, she skillfully delves into the depths of traditional oil painting, finding solace in its expressive power.
Her creative process begins with internal reflection, exploring the intricate realms of the subconscious, dreams and profound philosophical ideas. Lomadze’s artworks, rich with symbolism, invite the audience to delve into complex narratives beyond mere aesthetics, prompting thoughtful exploration of various layers of meaning.
Her works can be found in the collection of the Cosenza Museum of Contemporary Art Foundation, as well as in private collections across Europe, Canada and the United States.
